IGL Student group, the South Asian Regional Committee (SARC) is  collaborating with Harvard University and Ashoka University (India) on a new speaker series for the summer called the Academic Hour.

This is the second panel of the series which will explore Sino-Indian dynamics that are presently afoot at the Line of Actual Control (LAC). We are thrilled to have former Foreign Secretary of India Mr. Shyam Saran speaking on this topic.

This discussion hopes to provide a nuanced understanding of the diplomatic relations between India and China in light of the contretemps on the border. The mobilization of significant Chinese soldiers and military equipment on the LAC has markedly increased tensions between the two countries. While they are involved in both military and diplomatic engagements, it is unclear how the conflict is going to unfold. Mr.Saran will thus explore the past, present and future of India-China relations.

This event is open to everyone! Feel free to share it with anyone you think would be interested. There will be a question-answer session in the end for you to interact with our speaker!
