Daniel Sonder serves as Chief Financial Officer of B3, the Brazilian Stock and Derivatives Exchange since 2013. Since 2020, he has been a member of the Executive Board of Directors of Fundação Bienal de São Paulo, the organization responsible for organizing a biannual international contemporary art exposition. Prior to joining B3, Daniel served as a Managing Director in the Structured Credit Funds area in the Asset Management Division of Credit Suisse, which he joined in 2006. Previously, between 2002 and 2006, he worked in the public sector, first in the Brazilian National Bank for Economic and Social Development, and then as a member of the senior staff of the São Paulo State Secretary of Treasury, where he was a board member in state-owned companies. Daniel started his career at J.P. Morgan from 1999 to 2001 in investment banking. He lives with his wife and three children in São Paulo, Brazil, where he was born and raised. Daniel holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Relations from Tufts University (’98), and a Master’s in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (’99). He was an EPIIC student in 1995-96.
