TUFTS ASIAN AFFAIRS GROUP

The Tufts Asian Affairs Group (TAAG) is an umbrella group that houses a number of subgroups that focuses on Asian affairs. There is an increasing importance in understanding Asia and its role in world civilization as well as its current political, economic, and cultural importance. In light of this growing significance, TAAG seeks to promote a greater understanding of the histories, politics, economics, and social justice issues in the continent.

TAAG groups provide a platform to educate and promote discourse on a variety of topics through weekly discussions, panels, conferences, and research. Because of the wide-ranging issues that vary by region, TAAG consists of the following groups; South Asian Regional Committee (SARC), Southeast Asian Collective at Tufts (SEACT) and Sino-U.S. Relations Group Engagement (SURGE).
