Emily Ginsberg '14

Emily Ginsberg is a MALD candidate at the Fletcher School studying international business and development economics. She was the Graduate Coordinator for the Empower Program for Social Entrepreneurship from 2012-2013. Following college, she worked as a political analyst before deciding to move to Quito for a year to work with a conflict resolution NGO called CEMPROC. Upon returning to the States, she joined the business development team at GlobalGiving in their DC office. Most recently, she spent the summer in Uganda with funding from Empower working for an agribusiness consulting firm. She is passionate about social enterprise.

Megan Kearns '10

Uganda - Kampala

Megan is currently the Project Associate for Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) where she oversees randomized controlled trials (RCTs) for development economists at top universities and the World Bank. In essence, she runs the on-the-ground rigorous evaluations of development and policy interventions ranging from reducing degradation of tropical forests to providing unconditional cash transfers to HIV positive individuals. Ms. Kearns oversees the collection of quantitative and qualitative data, coordinates with IPA's in-country implementation partners, and serves as the boots-on-the-ground for the economists overseeing the research design.
