As the United States continues to build a wall between itself and Mexico, Which Way Home shows the personal side of immigration through the eyes of children who face harrowing dangers with enormous courage and resourcefulness as they endeavor to make it to the United States.

The 2019 EPIIC International Symposium will be three days of what we hope will be far-reaching discussions on issues critical to understanding the pressing challenges facing countries and migrants, from the tensions between state sovereignty and global migration to the policies that allow the continued existence of slavery and human trafficking, from the impacts of South-to-South migration to the vanguard role cities play in migration, from the securitization of migration to the roles gender and climate change are playing and will play in future policies.
The 2018-2019 EPIIC Colloquium will critically examine the multidimensional aspects of migration. Migration has become a worldwide phenomenon and its importance today is clear. Concerns with the demographic, economic, social, security, legal and political consequences of international migration have also increased.
"A World in Disarray", a VICE special report, is a feature-length documentary that explores the disorder in today's international landscape, how it arose, and how it plays out in four areas of conflict and tension: Syria, Ukraine, the South China Sea, and North Korea.

The Egyptian Revolution had been an ongoing rollercoaster for two and a half years and the news only offered a glimpse of the bloodiest battle, an election, or a million man march. At the beginning of July 2013, Egypt deposed its second president within the span of three years.
A key independent academic voice in China in arms control and nonproliferation, he is Professor of International Relations at Fudan University and Founder and Director of China’s first non-government-based Program on Arms Control and Regional Security. His research areas cover the China-U.S. security relationship, nuclear arms control and disarmament, nuclear weapons policy of the US and China, regional nonproliferation issues concerning South Asia, Northeast Asia and Middle East, test ban, missile defense, export control, as well as China’s foreign and defense policies.
In September 1961, Carey was a 24-year-old lieutenant, Gorman a wide-eyed 17-year-old private, part of an Irish contingent of United Nations peacekeepers deployed in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to stop the country descending into chaos. Even at a distance of 55 years, their voices crack with emotion as they recall how their mission turned into a battle for survival in Ireland’s first ever international military deployment.
The international symposium is an annual public forum designed and enacted by EPIIC students. It features international practitioners, academics, public intellectuals, activists and journalists who come to Tufts each year for four days of discussion and debate in panels and small-group discussions determined by students in the EPIIC course. Students who conduct research projects also have the opportunity to present alongside the invited experts.
Mac Maharaj was a member of Nelson Mandela’s inner circle during the days of resistance in South Africa. In 1977, after spending 12 years in prison on Robben Island, he was appointed secretary of the Internal Political and Reconstruction Department of the ANC. He served on the Revolutionary Council and National Executive Committee of the ANC, an underground program of armed resistance against the apartheid government.
