Write for Rights: AmnesTEA pt. 1
Your words have power. Through the power of collective action, writing letters can convince government officials to help people whose basic human rights are being attacked.
AmnesTEA is our event for Write for Rights, Amnesty International's annual letter writing campaign. This year’s theme is Youth Activism, and we have selected four cases that represent the kinds of youth activism that we feel Tufts campus is most engaged in. We will be serving tea in the Campus Center and having conversations about the various cases. Then, if people so choose, they can sign the letters and become part of the campaign. Tufts students signed over 500 letters last year, but we are hoping to sign even more.
Come join us at the Campus Center between 12pm and 2pm to do your part in demanding justice. Sign a few letters, and enjoy some free tea from different countries on us, while supplies last! Hope to see you all there.
