Program
ALLIES

Tufts ALLIES is proud to present its second annual Civil-Military Affairs Conference, bringing together members of ALLIES and the leading “voices from the field” to discuss civil-military relations in a functional context. The theme of this year’s conference is “Where Do We Go From Here: Post-Conflict Peacekeeping and Reconstruction in the 21st Century.” The conference will consist of a panel, dinner, and keynote on Friday, November 6, followed by a second panel, breakout sessions and a diplomatic crisis scenario on Saturday, November 7.

The first panel, Institutions and Identities, will address critical questions regarding rebuilding an inclusive and functional society post-conflict. The second panel, The Peacekeeper in the 21st Century, will deconstruct the multidimensional roles of peacekeepers, including their training, security, and ideology. The conference will conclude with an interactive diplomatic simulation in which participants will be asked to assume the viewpoints of various organizations in order to formulate peacekeeping solutions.
