Tufts Engineers without Borders 5k Run is bigger and better than ever. This year EWB are hosting a 6 kilometer run as it is the average distance women in Africa and Asia need to walk to get water (per the UN). The race will begin at 10 am sharp so show up early to pick up your bib number. The top male and female finishers will receive prizes!
John Durant, an Associate Professor in the Tufts Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, will be speaking on environmental engineering projects on an international scale. Professor Durant will present useful info on water quality management and other environmental projects as the Latin America and East Africa chapters of the Tufts Engineers Without Borders club prepare for their upcoming, December assessment trips to Nicaragua and Tanzania, respectively. The event is open to the public and will be hosted in Eaton Hall Room 202.
