Arms Beyond Borders: Defense, the Arms Trade, and International Intervention
The keynote address will be given by Douglas Farah, who is a Senior Associate in the Americas Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, as well as a Senior Fellow at the International Assessment and Strategy Center. Farah is an expert on transnational criminal organizations, insurgencies, ungoverned spaces, illicit money flows, and resource exploitation in Latin America. He has written extensively about Iran’s growing influence in Latin America, the Bolivarian revolution, and transnational criminal and terrorist networks in the region. The keynote address will be on Friday, November 10 at 7:00pm in Cabot 206.
