Date & Time February 26, 2020 8:00pm - 9:00pm
Location

Program

The U.S. has historically relied on foreign countries for oil, with oil being a leading motivation for many U.S. foreign policy decisions in the past. However, in 2018, the U.S. became a net oil exporter for the first time in nearly 75 years and is set to grow increasingly oil sufficient in future years. Join ALLIES this Wednesday, February 26, as we discuss how the U.S.’s decreasing reliance on foreign countries for oil impacts the U.S.'s relationships with current allies like Saudi Arabia. As usual, no prior knowledge is needed and background readings will be provided at the meeting.
