"A Child's Guide to War" with Susan Hackley

On Wednesday October 14th, from 8-9:30 pm in Barnum 004, ALLIES brought in Susan Hackley, who talked about "A Child's Guide to War".

A Child’s Guide to War is a landmark documentary film asking American children for the first time to describe the effects of war on them.  Almost 2.5 million members of the U.S. military have been deployed in Iraq or Afghanistan since 2001. For many American children, we have been at war their whole lives.
While the effects of war on the servicemen and women themselves have been well documented, the impact on our nation's children has not.
This film is apolitical; it simply brings to the forefront the effects that war has on young hearts and minds.
A Child’s Guide to War aims to spark a national conversation about the effects of going to war on our youngest citizens.
