ALLIES GIM

This week's meeting will serve both as a general interest meeting (GIM) and as the first discussion meeting of the new semester. We will spend the first ten minutes introducing ALLIES to prospective members before dedicating the remainder of the time to discussion and elections. This week's topic will be Obama's Legacy. We will deliberate about (among other things) the successes and failures of the 44th president’s foreign policy and the nature of historical and political memory.

"Free for All" Photography Exhibition

India, with a population of over 1.2 billion, has no national scheme to provide health care for its citizens. In 2011, the state government of Rajasthan, India implemented Mukhyamantri Nishulk Dava Yojana (MNDY), the Chief Minister’s Free Medicines Initiative for its population of more than 70 million. Providing free medicines through designated drug distribution centers, such as government and teaching hospitals, the plan was considered a success for the Congress Party that controlled the state’s government at the time.
