Voices from Solitary: Think Outside the Box featuring John Artis

The aim of the panel is to present a discussion of the different facets and experiences of solitary and to look at opportunities for building a network and community to fight the use of solitary in Massachusetts, in the United States, and abroad. Of course, solitary confinement is just one symptom of a corrupt, abusive system. We hope to draw a line between the isolation and oppression of solitary confinement and the potential for liberation and community within anti-solitary, anti-mass incarceration, anti-oppression, etc. activism.
