ALLIES JOINT RESEARCH TRIP to SOUTH AFRICA: APPLICATIONS DUE SOON

Join 3 midshipmen from the U.S. Naval Academy and 2 cadets from West Point in exploring the evolution of civil-military relations since Apartheid in South Africa, June 29-July 14, 2016.

The trip will include developing your own topic to investigate, meeting with policymakers, key players in the transition from Apartheid to democracy, military officials, academics, journalists and activists.  You will also have the opportunity to visit sites such as Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela and many political prisoners were held for decades.The Institute for Global Leadership is sponsoring this trip and providing significant funding for participating students.
 
There are 3 spots available for Tufts students.  The Institute is providing significant funding toward the trip.
