ALLIES Weekly Discussion- To Deter or Not to Deter: The Iran Nuclear Agreement

Tensions between the U.S. and Iran peaked this summer when Iran resumed some of its nuclear activities, directly violating the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran Nuclear Agreement. How should the U.S. respond to such a clear violation of the JCPOA, considering the U.S. has also violated the agreement by imposing sanctions on Iran since last spring?

As the U.S.-Iran relationship continues to deteriorate, join ALLIES on Wednesday, September 18 in Eaton 206 from 8pm to 9pm to discuss the U.S.'s nuclear deterrence strategies in regards to Iran and the future of the U.S.-Iran relations.
