Come welcome Col (Ret.) Steve Banach for a lecture, presented by ALLIES in conjunction with the Institute for Global Leadership. Join Col Banach as he shares how applying and implementing a strategic thinking and organizational learning framework, coupled with utilizing a systems thinking approach, will change the competitive advantage of an organization from a data-driven reactive preference to an anticipatory, organic culture. This transformed culture produces a range of potential options that, once applied, provides the flexibility and competence for sustainability.
ALLIES' principal annual event, this multi-day conference is attended by students and faculty from across the ALLIES national network, as well as military officers, government, NGO workers, academics and other professionals. The Intellectual Roundtable allows ALLIES to expand its mission of the study of civil-military relations into a rigorous academic setting in which ALLIES members interact with experts in the field who gather to discuss the most prominent issues in civil-military relations.

ALLIES, in collaboration with the Women’s Center, will screen Impact Partners’ second Academy Award nominated documentary this season, “The Invisible War.” This is a groundbreaking investigative documentary about one of America’s most shameful and best kept secrets: the epidemic of rape within the U.S. military. The film paints a startling picture of the extent of the problem – today, a female soldier in combat zones is more likely to be raped by a fellow soldier than killed by enemy fire.
