When I decided to intern for the summer at the National Defense University’s Center for Complex Operations, my family and peers questioned whether the organization had any mission.
“As Salam Alaykom” I greeted my mentor, Dr. Nada Dhaif, excitedly over a skype call in early May. We chatted briefly about the expectations and responsibilities interning remotely for BRAVO (Bahrain Rehabilitation and Anti-Violence Organization).
I am an upcoming second-year student at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, spending my summer in Singapore for my internship with the Center for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD).
