Consul Ralf Horlemann has served in the German Foreign Service for more than two decades and has a rich experience in international security policy, transatlantic relations and Asian affairs. He took up his position as Consul General of Germany to New England in July 2015. Among other posts, he previously served in Berlin, Hong Kong, Pyongyang, Moscow and Washington, DC, where he has made major contributions to formulating and developing Germany’s policy in conflict prevention and management. Ralf visited The Fletcher School at Tufts to hold a talk about Germany’s approach to crisis prevention and stabilization, focusing his remarks on the migrant crisis in Europe.
