The Latin America Chapter of Tufts Engineers Without Borders travelled to Nicaragua in its first trip of the academic year. The three-person travel team completed the assessment trip over Winter Break, inspecting local infrastructure and village characteristics to find a community that will be a good match to the group's skillsets. Since the Chapter is starting a new project, the team travelled to seven different communities in Nicaragua and met with each village's community leaders. The group will discuss its findings and observations in weekly meetings, hopefully deciding on a single community to work with in future trips and implementation planning.
