For the recognition of his moral courage in addressing the legacy of Argentina’s “Dirty War,” the Institute for Global Leadership was honored to present Marcelo Brodsky with the Dr. Jean Mayer Global Citizenship Award. Brodsky, Argentina's leading Human Rights photographer and conceptual artist, is highly regarded for his contributions and activism within the field of human rights. Having personally witnessed the political genocide resulting from the Argentinian military dictatorship while growing up, through his art and photographs, he was able to connect the personal with the political, intensifying the impact of both. Today, Brodsky's work has been featured in numerous museums, and has also presented a variety of lectures in universities and museums around the world.
