Last week, just outside of Jerusalem's Old City walls, I had dinner with a group of Mount Zion tenants in the Jerusalem Intercultural Center's (JICC) beautiful garden.
Over the course of the past week and a half, there has been a monumental amount of progress within our team. For example, we have organized an educational field trip for approximately 70 children, including students of the Payir School and the Thottiyapatti Learning Center.
The second half of my internship at the Consortium for Gender, Security, and Human Rights has been going very well. One of the highlights was a special presentation from Dr. Heidi Gengenbach on her extensive fieldwork in Mozambique on the intersections of gender, conflict, personal histories, and food security.
