This summer, I had a chance to work with a newly established social enterprise whose main goal is to create job opportunities for marginalized citizens – the disabled, single mothers and orphans – in Astana, Kazakhstan.

One of my main tasks for this summer, as part of with my work for the Centre for Agro-Ecology and Development (CAED) in Nepal, is creating a ‘shadow report’ for the attention of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW Committee).
