Previous senior positions include Permanent Representative of Italy to the Executive Council of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in The Hague (2000-2002), chairperson of the negotiations on the adaptation of the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (1998-1999) and Head of Disarmament, Arms Control and Cooperative Security at NATO (1991-1997).
Throughout the night Lamberto Zannier discussed the mission of the OSCE and the valuable work that the organization conducts on the ground. Zannier described the powerful legacy that accompanies the OSCE and detailed the organization's comprehensive view on security in the politico-military, economic and environmental and the human dimensions. It was an honour to have Ambassador Lamberto Zannier speak at Tufts university as his work resonates clearly with the IGL's vision and efforts to inspire and motivate studnets to actively contribute to society and the world.
